Since Super Caltemp® Gold 1700 possesses high strength as well as exceptional insulation qualities, it can be readily machined into component parts of many sizes and shapes. Applications include curved vessels and large diameter pipes, fire proofing of structural steel, and as refractory backer in furnaces, boilers and kilns. Super Caltemp Gold 1700 may be double layered in the field for greater thicknesses.
